Vegan Fudgy Chocolate Brownies

  • 3 tbsps ground flax seed
  • ½ cup water
  • ½ cup melted plant butter
  • ½ cup stevia sweetener
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • cup cocoa powder
  • ½ cup chocolate chips
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ cup almond milk optional
  • 1 tsp baking powder


  • Preheat your oven to 325°F.
  • To a mini bowl combine 3 tablespoons of ground flax seed with ½ cup of water and leave to thicken.
  • In a separate bowl, combine all-purpose flour with baking powder.
  • To a mixing bowl, add in melted butter, sugar, salt and cocoa powder. Whisk together until you achieve a smooth consistency.
  • Add in your vanilla extract and flax egg mixture. Combine together.
  • Sift the flour into the mixture and combine.
  • Fold in your chocolate chips and pour batter into a lined 8x8 inch baking pan
  • Bake for 30-40 mins OR until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Leave to cool. Then serve and enjoy!
