A couple of months ago, I told Father to send me a friend–one that I could grow spiritually with and talk about Him with because I was sick of the constant seasonal friendships I kept finding myself in.
Not too long after making that prayer request, Father answered me and sent more than I had asked for. And honestly, it has been the best present from Him so far.
Father has really been good to me a lot this season and I’m so grateful for the blessings He has been pouring in my life. I’ve spent so much time having fun that I’ve begun to forget about my grief and sorrows.
Not only that, but He has been increasing my hunger for His word and maturing me spiritually… and I’m so mindblown at all He keeps doing.
There’s so much more that I would love to share with you guys about this current season I’m in. But I’ve been so busy enjoying it that I barely even have time to sit and type a blog post.
Hopefully, when I get some more time to myself, I’d share somethings that God has been teaching and revealing to me this period.
With that being said, yesterday was pretty amazing. There was a get together at Millicent’s house and we had so much food and games to keep everyone entertained. We had this amazing chocolate cake (.. still eating some as I’m typing this post) and I probably will make a recipe post for this cake one day.
The good thing about this friendship as compared to previous ones is the fact that we all get to be accountable to each other. There’s no jealousy or envy, no religiosity or condemnation…but instead a family of friends who are not perfect but constantly rely on God’s help in reaching perfection.
Overall, I’m thankful for the friendships God has placed in my life recently…
