I rarely review or talk about skin care products on my blog simply because it is very impossible to give a first impression on a product that requires constant usage to see results. Personally, I prefer to test out a product multiple times to see if I get any good results from it before introducing it to my readers, because skin care is definitely something that is very important to me.
With that being said, there are some products I’ve been using time after time over the past few months that have shown me great results, and I’m so excited to start showing them to you guys on the blog.
Today’s post is about my all time favorite drugstore clay mask that has stuck with me for the longest.
And if you didn’t already guess from the title of this post, I’m talking about the L’Oreal Pure-Clay Mask.
I came across this clay mask a couple months ago when I was trying to switch up my skin care routine. I wasn’t really into clay masks at that time, but after stumbling across this product on instagram, I decided to give it a go.
It was pretty affordable and retailed for about $10, so breaking the bank wasn’t too much of an issue for me.
Honestly, I’m very glad I purchased this product because it has done quite an amazing job at improving the overall appearance of my skin.
How I use It?
After cleansing my skin and cleaning out my pores, I basically use a foundation brush to apply it. I recommend thoroughly cleaning your face before applying this mask if you really want to see great results.
Usually, I wait about 10 minutes for it to dry down, then I rinse off with Luke-warm water.
I suggest keeping your wait time between 10-15minutes max. Going over 15minutes can cause your skin to become a bit too dry after rinsing, so definitely be sure to not make that mistake.
What’s so amazing about it?
One thing that definitely makes this product what the purchase is how well it exfoliates/detoxes. It’s very gentle on the skin and doesn’t cause any major reactions.
Plus it is really good at preventing acne depending on how frequently one uses it.
I tend to use mine about 3-4 times a week depending on the appearance of my skin. Exfoliating is definitely key in my skincare, so I try to do it as often as I can.
Another major thing that I love about this product is how well it brightens up the skin. Each time I use this, my skin ends up looking radiant and refreshed. I also noticed that after about a month of use, I started to see my acne scars slowly fading away.

Is it good for sensitive skin?
Definitely a recommend for sensitive skin. As mentioned earlier, this doesn’t cause any major skin reactions, which is what makes it ideal for extremely sensitive skin types.
Also, given that you don’t need to mix in any additional ingredient makes things a lot simpler during the application process.
However, just make sure that you take the necessary steps given on the packaging to ensure that you are using the product correctly. Overall, I haven’t seen any issue with this clay mask.
Let me know in the comments if you’ve given this a shot. I’m curious to know.
