I'm Eleanor Ajoku Henry

—Elley for short. Welcome to my little corner of the interweb.

I'm a blogger, photographer, recipe developer and engineer who aims to inspire you to become your best self and live an authentic, empowered life. I write about food, personal care, self-help, and my own life experiences. My intention with every post is the same: to give you wisdom and show you what’s possible for your life.

Sometimes the road of life takes an unexpected turn you must follow.

I believe that we all have the ability to be amazing humans, but it takes hard work and dedication to get there.

Before I started blogging and podcasting, I was a college student who didn't know what to do with her life. I knew I wanted more in life, but I didn't have the slightest idea of what that meant.

Blogging became an escape for me—it gave me a creative outlet and helped me find my voice. It was also an opportunity to share my passions with the world!

Nowadays, blogging has become more than just an escape for me—it has turned into something much larger than myself. It's become a means through which others too can learn how they can live their most authentic lives!

On my blog, I share stories from my own journey of self-discovery—along with practical tips and advice that will help you become your best self!

My mission is simple: with every post, I want you to feel inspired and empowered. Whether it's through recipes, wellness tips, life coaching sessions, podcast episodes or even stories about my personal life.

A little more about me

Engineer by degree

I graduated from the University of Toledo with a degree in chemical engineering. I love problem solving, which is why I chose to study chemical engineering, but I also love writing and storytelling.

Happily married

Somewhere along the journey of this 'thing' called life, I ended up meeting a handsome amazing man who makes me laugh till my stomach hurts. We fell madly in love and got married shortly after.

I'm probably somewhere reviewing a restaurant or creating recipes..

I have been cooking since childhood and I just love it. The best part is you don't have to be a chef to cook delicious food. With the tips and techniques I share, you will be able to cook like a pro!

Hello Africa

I am Igbo, Nigerian by ethnicity, but I am also a resident of the United States and have been living here since I was a teenager.

I'm a lot of things to a lot of people. It just depends on who you're asking..

Some see me as a huge inspiration, while others think I'm an unsaved piece of shit who obsesses over herself.

You decide for yourself.

I don't think I'm perfect by any means, but if you know me at all—or if you've spent even just five minutes reading my blog posts—you'll know that what matters most to me is being understanding of others.

Remember that girl that went viral on LinkedIn for graduating college despite a major car accident that left her with broken bones, all while in the process of grieving two family members?

That's me, and you can read more about the story HERE.

It was an incredible experience, and it taught me a lot about resilience—the ability to bounce back from challenges and adversity.

I'm here to be your Life Coach and teach you how to be resilient. I want you to be equipped with that same confidence, wisdom and determination that helped me overcome the odds.

Mostly pinterest. I’m not a fan of social media. I’ve tried to stay on instagram, tiktok and several others, but those sites don’t appeal to me, and I constantly delete my accounts each time I join. I love to read, so places like Pinterest give me a lot to binge on. Come follow me HERE

My resilience. I always have a positive outlook on life regardless of my circumstances.

Me!! I thought myself web design while in college and it’s been a handy skill ever since.

Introverted. My alone time is very precious to me.

My mom. She’s the strongest woman I know.

I want people to know that they are more than capable of doing anything they want to. It just takes the right attitude, belief and mindset to accomplish it. That’s why I started my coaching sessions—so that I can make people more aware of this truth.

Amazon Favorites

I'm a huge Amazon shopper, and I've been using these products for a while now. They're my go-to, and I swear by them. Sometimes it's hard to know what to buy when you're shopping online, but these have been amazing for me.

Remember, Hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things, and no good thing ever dies. I will be hoping that this letter finds you, and finds you well.
